Canvas Crossroads 2025: Call for Presentations
Technology Mediated Instruction (TMI) is soliciting faculty for presentations that leverage educational technologies to promote student engagement and learning within Canvas.
This is an opportunity to showcase your creativity and expertise in enhancing the learning experience for our students! Presentations can be about new or emerging technologies (e.g., interactive video quizzes, Khanmigo Teacher Tools, PlayLab AI, or any effective use of Canvas that you want to share with colleagues such as best practices or even pitfalls to avoid.

Lucid Education Suite & Canvas (Available)
All Canvas users now have access to the Lucid Education Suite within Canvas, via the Rich Content Editor and Assignments. The Lucid Education Suite comprises Lucidspark, a collaborative virtual whiteboard and Lucidchart, an intelligent diagramming application. Resources for using Lucid and a short self-paced training course are available.
Khanmigo Teacher Tools (Coming Soon)
Khanmigo leverages Khan Academy content to simplify AI for educators and generate high quality, trustworthy tools. It includes 20+ AI-powered tools that accelerate common tasks like writing letters of recommendation, brainstorming discussion prompts, creating individualized learning plans, and more – all without leaving Canvas. Discussion Checkpoints (Available)
Canvas Discussions and Announcements have been updated. However the long anticipated addition of multiple due dates (checkpoints) that was scheduled to be available as an opt-in feature for Spring 2025, has been postponed to Summer 2025 due to unforeseen impacts to Speedgrader. More details can be found in the Canvas Question Forum.
